I like to think of my life as being that of the typical American. I am from a divorced family. When they were married, my mom and dad were your typical conservative, middle-class, 2.5 kids kind of family. She was a social worker and he a businessman. Then in 2001 they split. My mom is now married to a self-proclaimed redneck that has a tendency to physically fall-apart. My dad is now married to his partner James, and they have a daughter (from a donor and surrogate). I now have three brothers and two sisters; one blood-related, one legal step-sibling, two psuedo-surrogate siblings, and one…well actually I’m not sure what to title her. I’m sure that I am not the only person with a family like this, but I like to think that we are special and unique.
I am a student with little to no money for college and a dream that involves attending a $30k+/per yr school. Horses are the breath in my lungs and the blood in my veins, the source of my ambitions. My friends come in a wide variety of personalities and packages, each of them with stories that add facets of interest and perspective to my life.
